SMOOTHIES


What's a SMOOTHIE?
It's a drink made of milk, yogurt and fruit. It's called a smoothie because it's liquid - and it's smooth!

It's a healthy snack because it's made of natural ingredients.


BASIC SMOOTHIE RECIPE

1 (125ml) pot of natural yogurt
1 (125ml) pot of milk
1/2 of a banana
1 or 2 teaspoons of honey or sugar
2 or 3 ice cubes

FRUIT - choose 2

4 strawberries
1 orange
1 kiwi
100 grams pineapple
1 banana

- or choose your favourite fruit!


1. Put the yogurt and milk in a jug.




2. Peel the banana and add to the jug.



3. Remove the skin and leaves from the fruit and add to the jug.

This is a strawberry smoothie:


 and here is a pineapple and creamed coconut smoothie:



 This is a peeled orange to add to pineapple:



 And here we put in extra banana with kiwi:


These contains banana and fresh strawberries:


 And this is pineapple and orange together:


If the fruit is not very sweet, you can add extra sugar:


 4. Add the ice cubes to the jug.


 5. Blend together until smooth.





6. Finally, pour it into a glass, drink and enjoy!
